Physical Pixels was a modular kinetic display / physical pixel board concept using a small motor driver, Hall-effect position sensing, and very low-cost distributed control electronics. The design explored cheap scalable control using parts like WS2811-style addressable drivers, a small H-bridge such as the WD6208N, analog Hall sensors for feedback, and possibly a tiny low-cost microcontroller or shift-register-style control structure for managing many pixels.
